Talking with myself...

First of all, I am offended that no one commented about my fancy peanut butter site! I guess others must not get as excited about peanut butter as I do. In fact, I was showing Mitch my amazing new find and he said "You put that on your blog? You're a nerd!"

Then I did a few more things this weekend to let him know that indeed, he married a nerd. Sometimes I do something that's a little weird-- when I have an important conversation coming up (i.e. speaking with my boss) or if I have recently had an important conversation I go over it in my head... out loud. Okay, I talk to myself. On Saturday I was busily loading our dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen and all of the sudden I look up and Mitch is just standing above me staring at me. He asked who I had been talking to and I had no choice but to fess up that I am crazy and I mumble to myself frequently. He said I may need to get out more!

Then the next day I showed up to church (Mitch was there many hours earlier attending meetings and was saving Marin and me a seat) and sat down next to Mitch. He started looking at my face funny and asked what the bumps were on my face. I rubbed them a little and realized that it was peanut butter from the sandwich I had frantically downed in the car on the way to the church (which is about 3 blocks away). It was smeared all over my cheek! When I told him he just busted up laughing, and then of course pretended to be me eating a gigantic sandwich and fake chewing and smacking his lips.

One of the nice things about being home all day with very little adult interaction is that Marin does not care if I talk to myself or get food all over my face! But I really may have to get out more before I become socially unacceptable!

Haha, if you're that desperate for someone to talk to you can call me! I'm pretty much available anytime.

By the way, I went to the P.B. Loco website but I knew Matt would freak if I spent that much money on peanut butter. You should get me some for Christmas and I'll get you some.

I think you make all of this stuff up Cara!! You are the most put together person when we get together or I see you at a Jones Simpkins function. Seriously, I don't believe you half the time when you talk about yourself being a nerd and all that. I'll just have to see it for myself sometime!!

Since Jones Simkins is where Mitch works, I hope I don't make a fool of myself in front of Tiffany so she will believe that I am sometimes a nerd!

You totally make me laugh. It's hard to picture you doing these nerdy things, you were always so cool and composed back in the high school days. I'm glad to hear of them though, because my life is filled with embarrassing moments.

Cara, You are not alone-I do random things all the time and Ben totally does not understand, but he has gotten to the point that he doesn't even ask what I am doing any more. Thank heavens Bailey loves me the way I am. By the way if you ever need some adult time or what I call "A Sanity moment" give me a call.
